Do You Have A Finish To Share?

As I was putting together yesterday's finish post, I started wondering if there is a Finish Friday blog.  You know, a place to collect and celebrate finishes.  I looked in blogger - and there wasn't - until now!

I started a blog called finishfriday.blogspot.com. My goal for this blog is to share finishes from all kinds of stitchers every Friday. I also want to share finishing techniques.

Would you all do me a favor?  Would you help spread the word?  I think this would be a great way for all stitching bloggers to gain exposure and celebrate their work.  You can get to Finish Friday by clicking on this button:

When you're there, you'll see a Get Featured! tab - clicking there will take you to a form to submit a request to have your finish featured on a Friday post.

I'm really excited about it, and I hope you are, too!  Obviously I don't have enough finishes every week to make this "go" - it's going to take our whole community!

This Blog is now Mobile-Friendly!

If you use Blogger, they've rolled out mobile templates.  I just updated mine to be viewable on mobile devices.  It's a little bit annoying to click on a link in Twitter when I'm on my Blackberry and not be able to see all the cool and pretty formatting you guys do.  If you haven't updated your settings yet, it's easy - from "Design", click on the "Settings" tab, then "E-Mail & Mobile" - it's the top option.  You can preview what it will look like for mobile users before you change the settings.  Even if you don't view blogs on your own mobile device, it's a great idea to update this setting.  It makes it nicer for those of us who read blogs when we're between appointments (or too lazy to walk to the computer).

Friday!!!

Why am I so excited about Friday today? Is it a hold over from when Saturdays were different from any other day? Maybe it's because it's the first day of Spring, maybe because the forecast is sunny and 70, maybe because Hallie starts spring break next week.

I had a blast last night watching MLB pre-season. I've been a Seattle Mariners fan since high school, and I'm glad that we are able to get the cable station that runs all the Mariners games. I'm so excited to have Ken Griffey, Jr. back in Seattle - he should be the true HR king, IMO. "My heroes don't have asterisks." And while watching the Mariner win (!), I got several rows done on Dove Love. Finally, I'm feeling balanced again. DH was watching the game in Seattle, I was watching in Boise, and we talked and texted each other during the game. He fell in love with me when I explained the infield fly rule to him, LOL.

For my stitchy friends - in case you haven't seen already, Emily (the floss box) has a new blog. Her previous site is still in my blog feed and will be up for a while, but she's posting new items at her new site. Right now there's no feed, so you'll have to go visit to see if she's doing anything new (yes, she is). Hopefully she'll get a feed soon. Emily has great biscornu patterns (free!), and they are all there (I checked) plus some I hadn't seen before.
