Wear Red Tomorrow!

Friday, January 6, is the American Heart Association's "Go Red for Women" day. Wear something red to raise awareness that heart disease affects women, too. In my own family, my grandfather has had 2 bypass surgeries (23 years apart), plus numerous "experimental" treatments - he was one of the first patients to receive a stent. 5 years ago, a "routine" stent was placed in my grandmother's (his wife's) artery to stop a cardiac event.

Oh, and maybe protect your own heart by taking an extra long walk!
