Hardanger SAL pattern

I did some major work toward finishing the pattern for the SAL. The problem I'm running into is that the chart is in 1/4th scale, basically, and it makes it hard for me to clearly draw other motifs in. I would understand them, but no one else would! And while I have a lot of things to stitch, I have a hard time designing. My design bug only kicks in when I'm about to run out of projects. So I forced it last night, and I think I'm happy with it. I have some other things I want to put in, but I'm still not sure how to draw them. Anyway, the next part of the pattern will be unveiled Sunday afternoon. Is anyone else stitching along with me?

I haven't started mine yet but I'm planning to this weekend. Do I need to use hardanger fabric or will any evenweave work? I have both on hand so either way, it's no problem.

Evenweave will work. You just don't want to use Aida, the cutting will not work on Aida.

Somewhere I figured the sizes based on 22, 28 and 32 count - one of the first SAL-related posts.
